The event takes place within the framework of the ongoing ERC project, “The European Qur’ān, 1150-1850” (EuQu). This one-day colloquium aims to foster existing collaborations of the team at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) with the project members, as well as to facilitate knowledge exchange with other scholars working on similar topics outside the EuQu. The discussion will focus on Qur’an translation and interpretation practices adopted by Muslims in different regions of wider Europe, as well as on Muslim-Christian interactions brought about by those translation activities.
