Biografía

Paula Caballero Sánchez completed her degree in Classic Philology at the Universidad of Malaga (UMA) in 2007. 

In 2008 she also completed a MA thesis in Literary translation at the Universidad of Malaga.

From 2008 to 2010 she worked in Milan (Italy) as Spanish teacher at Instituto Cervantes and IULM University. 

From 2010 she is Ph.D fellow at CCHS-CSIC: under the supervision of Inmaculada Pérez Martín, she works on her thesis devoted to the critical edition of the scholia by John Pediasimus to Cleomedes’s Caelestia. During this period, she has completed the Master of Classic Philology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (MA thesis defended in 2012: The Aristophanean Scholia on the Madrid, Biblioteca Nacional Mss/4683), she has participated in several conventions and conferences, and she has published several papers related to the tradition of Greek texts in Byzantium and Byzantine Literature.

As literary translator, she has translated essays and novels of some italian authors, among others, Armando Massarenti, Curzio Malaparte, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Francesca Caferri, Edgar Morin, Maurizio Viroli.
